Ivy Alvarez's Page

Ivy Alvarez is the author of Mortal (Red Morning Press, 2006). Her poetry is featured in anthologies, journals and new media in many countries, such as Meanjin, Magma, Poetry Wales, In Posse and Famous Reporter.

She has read her poetry at the University of Basel, Switzerland, with other readings in New York, the Flat Lake Festival in Ireland, the Dylan Thomas Centre in Swansea, UK and several literary festivals in Australia, including the Critical Animals symposium in Newcastle in October 2008, supported by a Wales Arts International grant.

She is the recipient of fellowships from Hawthornden Castle, Edinburgh and MacDowell Colony, New Hampshire, including a writing residency at the Fundación Valparaíso, Spain early this year.
